Headset camera

A head cam on a headset specifically designed for police and security usage. These have been very popular for door supervisors of night clubs as well as in the sports industry. Unlike others available on the market, this lightweight headset and camera is comfortable to wear and only weighs 49grms (1.7oz). It can be worn with glasses and does not obstruct your peripheral vision. Perfectly safe to be worn whilst driving.
The CCD camera comes with it's own battery holder (1 x 9v PP3) or can take it's power direct from the DV500 digital recorders. A special cable is also available for connecting it to the ME1 DVR for ultra high quality recordings.

It has an integrated high gain microphone with tie-pin.
The ERS can be easily disconnected from the recorder and there are no other cables to worry about.

Finally a device has arrived that can record at full 720 x 576 resolution, 25fps and 8mb/s. There are other recorders available that can do this but at the moment, this is the only one with a built-in colour screen!

The HQR2 is a micro pocket DVR that records high quality D1 video to a CF card to a 16GB. The 16GB card will hold around 4 hours of video at full quality. It has a built-in lithium polymer battery that will power both itself and any bullet camera for over 3 hours. We've had over 5 hour's record time when used with the Sony HQ2 bullet camera. The HQR-2 can be connected to any regulated 12v supply for even longer record times.
HQR2 can be set to record in either mpeg2 or mpeg4 and has 6 quality settings so you can get much more video on your CF card if you're willing to sacrifice a bit of video quality or you are filming low motion video.

This pocket DVR is fully compatible with the Cam Eye lance remote controller which can be used to turn the unit on/off and also start/stop recording at the touch of a button. This really is a professional grade digital video recorder that's easy to use with its on screen menu system.

This unit can be configured in lots of ways and supports time/date stamp, loop mode recording and motion detection.
It has external audio inputs if you want to connect it to an audio device such as an external mic or an intercom system. Its built-in mic also works really well and we expect most customers will be more than happy with the sound quality from this mic and not having the extra cabling involved with a separate mic. Connection to the HQR-2 from the camera is a high quality Lemo connector. Full audio gain control is accessed by the on-screen menu so it doesn't matter whether you are skiing, snowboarding, cycling, in a racing car or on a bike, you'll be able to set it up and get a really good sound track to your video.
Important note:

The HQR-2 does not support video playback. This must be done on a computer.Mpeg2 video must be converted on a PC using the supplied software before it can be played. Mpeg4 video will play back on a PC or a MAC without any additional software.
